Kagame in Angola for regional summit

President Paul Kagame arrived in Luanda, Angola yesterday where he will be attending an extraordinary summit of Heads of States and Governments hosted by President Dos Santos, current President of the International Conference of the Great Lakes.

President Paul Kagame arrived in Luanda, Angola yesterday where he will be attending an extraordinary summit of Heads of States and Governments hosted by President Dos Santos, current President of the International Conference of the Great Lakes.

The two-day summit will bring together President Museveni of Uganda, President SassouNguesso of the Republic of Congo, President Kikwete of Tanzania and President Kabila of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The summit began yesterday with an official dinner hosted by President Dos Santos and attended by President Kagame, President Sassou Nguesso, President Kabila. The second day of the summit will begin with an opening ceremony followed by discussions focused on regional cooperation and security.
