AS KIGALI players will receive US$1000 (about Rwf680,452) each should they eliminate Morocco’s Difaa El Jadida to reach the play-off round of the Caf Confederation Cup.

AS Kigali face Difaa El Jadida in the first leg of the 1/8th round with the second leg due to be played next Saturday in Casablanca.

"We are staking $1000 for every player should you knock out Jadida and reach the next round,” the City of Kigali executive secretary Jean Marie Matabaro said.

"We are ready to support you in every way such that you can continue to make City of Kigali and Rwanda as a nation proud,” added Matabaro while meeting the team yesterday.

Skipper Jimmy Mbaraga said the team is ready for a win.

"We want to win this match for our brother Bodo Ndikumana, who is admitted following a road accident,” Mbaraga added.

Star striker Ndikumana, who scored AS Kigali’s first goal in the competition against Academie Tchite of Burundi in the preliminary round, is admitted at CHUK after being involved in a near-fatal road accident last week.
