Five foreign based junior players to boost junior wasps

Arsenal youth team midfielder Alfred Mugabo has been summoned to boost the national Under-20 team ahead of the forthcoming Africa Youth Championships qualifiers.

The 19-year-old will lead five Europe-based junior players expected to join the junior wasps training camp ahead of the 2015 AYC qualifiers against South Sudan set for next month.

The other four include; Spain-based Valencia academy trio of midfielder Anderson Neza, right back Yves Rwigema and striker Fiston Nkizingabo and central defender Pacifique Shema, who plays in France.

According to Tardy, the five youngsters are expected to arrive in the country next week.

As part of preparations for South Sudan clash, Tardy’s team is scheduled to face their Burundi counterparts in warm-up game in Kigali on March 27.

Junior wasps will travel for the first leg away in South Sudan on the weekend of April 4-6 before hosting the return leg in Kigali on the weekend of April 25-27.

Rwanda will be looking to qualify for the 2015 African U-20 championships in Senegal from March 8-22.
