Gishali Integrated Polytechnic (GIP) opened its doors in March 18th, 2013 with the aim of training and imparting technical skills among the Rwanda National Police personnel and the local residents.
Located in Shaburondo Village, Bwinsanga Cell, Gishari Sector on the scenic shores of Lake Muhazi in Rwamagana district (Eastern Province), the Polytechnic has a mission of becoming a premier centre of excellence and a hub of expansion for product-based TVET within the region.
The Mission of the institution is to train the RNP personnel and the local residents in appropriate Technical & Vocational occupations so as to provide a comprehensive in-house support for effective and efficient management of material resources in the RNP; alongside corresponding training of community.
Gishari Integrated Polytechnic (GIP) is a new TVET School and a government based institution initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the support of -Workforce Development Authority (WDA). The GIP is comprised by two component campuses; a Vocational Training Centre (VTC) and a Polytechnic.
The main objective of GIP is to strategically respond to the skills development challenges facing the Country across all the sectors of the economy by providing the unemployed, especially the youth, with competitive technical skills and knowledge required in the labour market.
