Richard Tardy has named the U-20 national team which enters residential training camp today at La Palisse hotel in preparation for the 2015 Africa Youth Championship (CAN U-20) qualifiers.

The final 20-player squad was announced on Friday. Qualifiers are scheduled to start next month and the finals tournament will be held in Senegal from March 8 to 22, 2014.

The four semi-finalists will earn automatic tickets to the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.

So far, 51 countries are in contention for 7 places to join the hosts Senegal in the finals. Last year, Rwanda failed to go past the first round, losing 4-2 to Mali.

Frenchman Tardy, who also serves as the national technical director, summoned his team for preparation for the first round qualifier against South Sudan. The first leg will be played in Juba on the weekend of April 4-6 and the return in Kigali three weeks later.
