JEAN BAPTISTE Hakizimana’s poor record in the Kenya Golf Open continued after he missed the cut at this year’s tournament on Saturday.

Rwanda’s top professional golfer, who was contesting in the lucrative event for the second time, found himself off the mark after two days of action.

The Kigali Golf Club golfer shot six over par to finish with a total of 157, 21 strokes off the cut-off point.

The Rwandan international was not alone though as Ugandan pair of Deo Akope and Denis Anguyo missed the cut too.

Akope, who shot an opening 73, was undone by 5 bogeys and a double bogey on the par 4 hole No. 1 for a total of 78 on day two.

Anguyo shot four over par to finish with a total of 153, seventeen strokes off the cut-off point while Akope was 15 strokes off. Also missing the cut was last year’s runner up Tim Sluiter from Spain.
