Located in Karongi district in the Western Province, the Integrated Polytechnic Regional Center (IPRC) West is one of the five IPRC’s the government, through the Workforce Development Authority, initiated to lead the promotion of Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET).

The drive which is aimed at having an efficient education system that produces competent and high quality professionals with hands-on-skills in various courses is expected to effectively contribute to the sustainable development.

Although all the five IRC’s are doing a great job in educating and promoting TVET, IPRC West (former Eto Kibuye) has demonstrated outstanding efficiency through its graduates and students whose efforts have made the school shine through innovative initiatives in technology. At vocational level, the school trains four course units in hospitality and tourism and four others in construction and building while at technical secondary school level, the school offers motor vehicle technology, general mechanics and electricity.
