Ndayisenga lifts Farms cycling circuit title

NINETEEN-YEAR OLD Valens Ndayisenga won the 2014 Farms Cycling Circuit cycling competition which ran from Rwamagana to Matimba in Nyagatare District, in the Eastern Province on Saturday.

Ndayisenga who was riding for Amis Sportif team used three hours, nineteen seconds and fifty eight seconds to complete 126km ahead of fellow teammate Omar Nizeyimana who he beat by one second.

Nathan Byukusenge of Benediction club came one minute late to finish third.

In the girls’ event which started from Kiramuruzi to Matimba saw Jeanne d’Arc Girubuntu from Amis Sportif complete 65km in two hours and thirty seven minutes.

Fellow teammates Beatha Ingabire and Benitha Uwamarayika finished second and third   in 3h20’50 and 3h20’51 respectively.

The event which attracted 44 riders [36 boys and 8 girls] was organised the local cycling federation scout for more talented young riders.
