SKOL beer has pumped Rwf3.5m into today’s Farms Circuit cycling competition scheduled to run from Rwamagana to Matimba in Nyagatare District, in the Eastern Province.

The top five riders in both the men and women’s category will share Rwf1m in prize money, while the rest will go into the organisation for the one-day event.

According to the Rwanda Cycling Federation president Aimable Bayingana, the 120km race is being organised to help the federation to scout for more talented young riders.

The race is expected to attract over 50 local riders both men and women from all clubs recognised by Ferwacy.

"We believe such competitions will help us to find more young talented riders to feed the national team,” Bayingana said.

The  clubs expected to take part include; Benediction Club, Les Amis Sportifs, CCA, Kiramuruzi Cycling Team, Cine Elmay, Rapide Entertainment Club and Fly Club.
