Kenya’s women national team will be going for nothing short of a win when they host Rwanda in the second leg of their 2014 African Women Championships qualifiers preliminary round on Sunday at Kenyatta stadium in Machakos.

Speaking to the Kenyan media, head coach Justin Okiring said that only victory will be on his players’ minds as they seek to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg.

He said, "We have been training well and we will be going for the best.  We played two build-up matches last weekend to gauge those players, who missed the first leg match, and I am confident of advancing.”

Caf has appointed Bolankang Julie from Botswana to be in charge of the game and will be assisted by her compatriot Botsalo Mosimanetala and Bernadette Kwimbira from Malawi, while the match commissioner Teruwort Woldemariam is from Ethiopia. Fourth official is Kenyan senior referee Damaris Kimani.

Meanwhile, the Rwandan delegation left the country yesterday for Nairobi with head coach Grace Nyinawumuntu confident that her team can finish off the job and progress to the next round.

The winner in this tie will set up an unenviable clash against Nigeria’s Super Falcons or Sierra Leone.
