Through the Workforce Development Authority, the government of Rwanda in partnership with Pixel Corps, a US-based digital media firm, in 2012 entered a partnership that saw the opening of the Africa Digital Media Academy (ADMA) in Kigali. 

With an experience of over 30 years in computer graphics and video production, Pixel Corps brings its expertise in Rwanda after working with some of the largest visual production companies in the US including; Industrial Light and Magic and Lucas Film on the Box Office hit movie and Star wars among others. The media production school which is the first of its kind in Africa is located in the city centre of Kigali opposite SORAS building. This school offers quality video and film production, basic production skills like computer graphics, shooting, editing, audio and lighting. Other courses offered include podcast technology and online streaming video broadcast, binary skills such as match moving, distance learning and visual literacy among others.
