Uncle Austin, real name Austin Luwano, a renowned musician and radio presenter is under police custody for allegedly issuing a bounced cheque. Urbain Mwiseneza, the Kigali City Police spokesperson said Uncle Austin is under custody at Kicukiro Police Station.The KFM Rush Hour presenter was arrested on Monday evening after ignoring police sermons. "Uncle Austin is in our custody and we have forwarded the case to the prosecutor general’s office. Issuance of a bouncing cheque is punishable under article 373 of the penal code with a jail sentence of 2-5 years,” Mwiseneza said in a phone interview.Many of the singer’s friends we talked to are tight-lipped about the matter.  "He was summoned by local authorities to explain his case but failed to show up until he was grabbed by police,” the source added.
