Canal Rwanda brings Saudi Pro League to your screens

After ruling the broadcast coverage of the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, French Ligue 1 and the UEFA Champions League which kicks off in September, Canal has now added the Saudi Pro League to its package after securing broadcasting rights for the Middle East-based league.

Football now belongs not only to the Europe as the world turns eyes on the ‘Money League’

which is now home to football stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar Jr, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Marcelo Brozovic among others. Canal could not stay behind and it is now broadcasting the league live.

"Now, we hold the Saudi league streaming rights and you can find it anywhere else and this shows that we continue to lead in as the motto says ‘Kuri Foot Turayoboye’,” said Canal Plus Rwanda Sales Director Aimé Christian Abizera.

People can now watch the Saudi Pro League via Ikaze bouquet (Rwf5000).

The distributor effectively announced a new promotion where customers who buy any subscription will automatically have a 15-day bonus to access all channels.

That means, people who buy Ikaze (Rwf5,000), Zamuka (Rwf10,000) or Zamuka na Siporo (Rwf20,000) subscription package will get a two-week bonus to watch CANAL full bouquet (Ubuki) subscription.

"We have a big surprise in terms of content, but we also have an offer where existing clients are given a two-week promotion to watch full bouquet (Ubuki) as long as they renew any of their subscriptions," Abizera explained.

The promotion for existing clients will run until September 30.

Meanwhile, new clients can buy Canal Plus kits at Rwf5000 or Rwf10,000 for Zamuka bouquet and an extra Rwf5000 worth of installation fees. This promotion runs from August 25 to September 17.

According to Canal plus Rwanda Managing Director Sana Sionné, the new packages go beyond just sports as people will have an opportunity to enjoy other interesting programmes and movies among other contents.

"We have brought you a very nice new TV programme "Cheri(e), C’est Moi Le Chef” which will contain crazy cooking competitions, people will enjoy it,"

"We not only have football programmes, we also have other kinds of sports as usual, we have Zacu TV where people can enjoy local movies and series. Our customers are lucky and we are here to do everything possible to satisfy their needs through providing them with high definition visuals and their preferred programmes,” she added.

Canal is also still negotiating rights to broadcast the UEFA Europa League.
