Rwanda joined the rest of the World yesterday to celebrate the International Human Rights Day at a ceremony held in Maraba Sector, Huye district, Southern Province.
The event held under the theme "Enhance the Economic , Social and Cultural rights which lead to a sustainable development,” started off with a performance from a traditional dance troupe, and was followed with a speech from Madeleine Nirere, the President of the National Commission for Human Rights, who called upon citizens to be at the fore front of advocating for their own rights.
