FESPAD 2008 gets underway

GASABO - The 2008 edition of FESPAD, the Pan African Dance Festival, kicked off yesterday at the grounds of University Libre de Kigali (ULK). The event which brought together at least 400 artists from 30 internationally recognized dance companies was officially launched by the Prime Minister in the presence of First lady Jeannette Kagame. The colorful festival which is organized by the ministry of Sports and Culture has brought together artists from Africa and Asia.

GASABO - The 2008 edition of FESPAD, the Pan African Dance Festival, kicked off yesterday at the grounds of University Libre de Kigali (ULK).

The event which brought together at least 400 artists from 30 internationally recognized dance companies was officially launched by the Prime Minister in the presence of First lady Jeannette Kagame.

The colorful festival which is organized by the ministry of Sports and Culture has brought together artists from Africa and Asia.

Among the prominent international artists who graced the ceremony are American based stars Brick and Lace who jetted in the country Thursday. The festival will take place for a whole week.
