RWANDA VOLLEYBALL Federation is ready to host the 2013 Africa Volleyball Congress, Gustave Nkurunziza, an official has said. The event will take place at the Kigali Serena Hotel from December 7-8.The event will be attended by, among others, the International Volleyball Federation President Brazilian born, Dr. Ary S. Graça, who will arrive in country on December 5 together with the Organising Committee and the other delegations will arrive in Kigali the next day.The annual event will bring together the sport’s top governing officials from all African federations and African Volleyball governing body (CAVB), invited European, American and Asian confederation’s presidents.Rwanda has been chosen to host the two-day meeting ahead of Cote d’Ivoire and Democratic Republic of Congo. "This is another opportunity for Rwanda to prove that we are more than capable of hosting international events,” said the chairman of Rwanda Volleyball Federation.In June- July this year Rwanda hosted Sub-zone before hosting Zone V World Championships qualifying tournaments from November 26 to December 1 where Rwanda and Kenya joined Egypt to the qualifier for the final round slated for next year in January and February.
