Police FC head coach Sam Ssimbwa has ripped into some of his own players, saying their performance in the Turbo King National Football League leaves a lot to be desired."Some of my players play as if they don’t know what they want,” said the Ugandan tactician, who joined Police this season.Police lost to SC Kiyovu 2-0 last week, but they have taken results off other big teams including reigning champions Rayon Sports, whom they beat 2-1, Mukura Victory Sport 2-1, and then APR 2-2.Police’s worst result of the campaign so far is the 3-0 loss to league leaders AS Kigali three weeks ago.But Ssimbwa, formerly with the defunct Atraco FC, says he does not have genuine excuse for his team’s defeats against AS Kigali and Kiyovu."That is not my style, you cannot win two tough games and lose two others that you’re not supposed to (lose), it shows that we’re not consistent enough, and some of the players have been playing at times like they don’t know what they want,” he stated last week.Ssimbwa added, "I am not the kind of coach who takes losing lightly.  I am a winner but if we continue like this it means we are not genuine competitors but just participants.”The former Ugandan international challenged his players to up their game in the coming fixtures, starting with the next one against bottom side Amagaju FC on December 22 when the league returns. "If I coach players and they don’t understand my tactics and philosophy then I become a useless coach.”Police are in seventh position on the league table with 14 points, seven behind leaders AS Kigali after nine rounds of matches.
