This year’s MTN Golf Open tournament, which starts today, will attract over 80 golfers, according to the Kigali Golf Club captain Antony Olwit.They include mainly local golfers and a couple of guest players coming from neighbouring Uganda and Kenya.  However, by press time, that number was expected to increase, though not significantly as some local players were yet to confirm."This year’s edition is quite special because the main sponsors (MTN-Rwanda) are celebrating 15 years of operation in the country,” Olwit told Saturday Sport yesterday.  The two-day stroke play tournament, which is co-sponsored by Samsung Electronics and Solas, will be played at the Par-18 Kigali Golf Course in Nyarutarama.  The MTN Open comes two weeks after the Serena Monthly Mug.
