He had his chance and he blew it, now what?

OVER THE weekend, I was appalled to hear from a certain friend how her man made it a point to cheat on her like his life depended on it – the whole two years they dated. And now he wants her back. Apparently he made a mistake and is now ready to be the man she wants him to be. Am I the only one who finds this rather frustrating and annoying?

OVER THE weekend, I was appalled to hear from a certain friend how her man made it a point to cheat on her like his life depended on it – the whole two years they dated. And now he wants her back. Apparently he made a mistake and is now ready to be the man she wants him to be. Am I the only one who finds this rather frustrating and annoying?

I mean, seriously, what is it with guys and coming back for women they never bothered to care about before? Cheating might not be the best thing to do, but hey, we are human and we all make mistakes, therefore forgiveness wouldn’t be so bad when he slips once. But when a guy goes out of his way to sleep with every chick that smiles his way, that is not a mistake, that’s a disease!

People change, some will say. But I know a lying scoundrel when I see one. And some men, I’m sorry, but change isn’t something they are built for. She was gracious enough to forgive him for his shortcomings and proceeded to be a friend when he needed one. That all probably confused him into thinking she was still very interested in him. He couldn’t be further from the truth. The demons that possessed him to ask her to rekindle their romance were quickly exorcized.

He accused her of sending mixed signals; being hot one minute and cold the next. She told him never to think of her kind nature as indirectly asking for sex, because to him, a relationship meant sex! She knew him all too well. This was a guy who had made her cry not once or twice, but almost every damn day of the week. To other people, he insisted on calling her a ‘friend’ yet she was under the impression they were more. More than once, she’d found strange underwear that she was certain didn’t belong to her lounging around his place, something I found quite distasteful. I mean he was cheating on her; did he have to rub salt in the wound?

Now this mad man is back, claiming he is among the fellows that deserve a second chance. This is a man still tricking as many girls as he can into thinking they are his girlfriend. But you see, life is just...in one way or another, these things always come back to bite you in the butt. It’s called karma. Lucky for my friend, she’s smart…she knows what to do. So, be smart too. There are plenty of guys out there…they may not have all the qualities you want in a man (the usual good looks, great job and sex skills)...but you might find one that won’t make you the joke of the century. I can’t imagine anything worse than thinking I have a boyfriend, but Mr. Boyfriend is telling people what a great friend I am, making me look like a true nutcase!

They say you can take a pig for a makeover but inside, it will always be a pig! Hey, don’t get mad at me I didn’t come up with this stuff.
