Bourse turnover declines

The rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) turnover dropped sharply yesterday when compared to previous Monday. The bourse recorded a total of Rwf12.5m in turnover from 64,400 Bank of Kigali shares traded in five deals. This was a decrease of Rwf104.9m compared to Rwf117.4m realised last Monday from 601,800 Bank of Kigali and 100 Bralirwa shares traded in seven deals.

The rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) turnover dropped sharply yesterday when compared to previous Monday. The bourse recorded a total of Rwf12.5m in turnover from 64,400 Bank of Kigali shares traded in five deals. This was a decrease of Rwf104.9m compared to Rwf117.4m realised last Monday from 601,800 Bank of Kigali and 100 Bralirwa shares traded in seven deals. However, the Rwanda Stock Exchange Share Index was unchanged compared to last Monday, closing at 219.5 points yesterday.Bank of Kigali shares traded at between Rwf192 and Rwf200 and closed at Rwf200 yesterday, unchanged compared to last Monday’s closing price, whereas Bralirwa counter which was quiet yesterday remained unchanged at Rwf827 compared to last Monday.Kenya Commercial Bank shares last transacted at Rwf175, while Nation Media Group and Uchumi Supermarket shares last transacted at Rwf1,200 and Rwf175 respectively.Yesterday, there were outstanding offers of 384,700 Bank of Kigali shares at between Rwf200 and Rwf210 and outstanding bids for 1,423,000 shares at Rwf192.There were outstanding offers of 155,500 shares on Bralirwa counter at between Rwf827 and Rwf890 and outstanding bids for 1,800 shares at Rwf817.On the Kenya Commercial Bank counter there were outstanding bids of 12,400 shares at between Rwf175 and Rwf180 and no outstanding offers.At Nation Media Group counter, there was an outstanding bid of 1,000 shares at Rwf1,200 and no outstanding offers.
