President Kagame yesterday extended a message of goodwill to the Rwandan Muslim community on the occasion of the observance of the Holy month of Ramadhan.

In a statement released, the President said: "Ramadhan marks an important period in the Muslim calendar, when Muslims across the world observe fasting, take stock of their lives and renew devotion to their faith.

I call on all Rwandan Muslims to pray for continued commitment to working for a peaceful and prosperous country for all.”

President Kagame expressed hope that this Holy Month of Ramadhan, which began yesterday, will once again remind all Rwandans of the need to reflect on their relationships with each other, to strengthen their resolve to lead meaningful and productive lives and to be compassionate to the needy.
