The Speaker of Chamber of Deputies, Alfred Mukezamfura was discharged yesterday from King Faisal Hospital. 

Mukezamfura was admitted on Wednesday after collapsing in his office at Parliamentary Buildings in Kimihurura.

Doctors said he suffered from acute high blood pressure.

"We are proud to announce that Mr Mukezamfura has been discharged and he is in good condition now,” State Minister for HIV/Aids and Epidemics Dr Innocent Nyaruhirira announced last evening at the hospital.

King Faisal Acting Medical Director, Dr Joseph Mucumbitsi, said: "The Speaker suffered from an acute high blood pressure which we managed to successfully stabilise without complications.”

"The disease can be caused my many health problems, one of its common symptoms is constant headache,” he added
Meanwhile, a press release issued by the Chamber of Deputies yesterday,  stated that the Mukezamfura was granted a ten-day sick leave.
