Amsterdam-based DJ and production duo Tribal Kush will bring its blend of dancehall, Caribbean, Afro, Latin and electronic music to Kigali on November 28, as part of a regional tour promoting its latest EP, "Giv Dem Wha Dey Wan.”

The duo, made up of Kevin Bakker and Allimar Maduro, will perform at Riddim and Whine at Atelier du Vin. The tour also includes a November 25 show at Club Guvnor in Kampala, Uganda, and a December 4 performance at Eden Island in Victoria, Seychelles.

Tribal Kush is associated with Basshall, a dance music style that draws heavily from Jamaican dancehall and combines it with sounds from Africa, Latin America and electronic music. The style has found an audience through streaming platforms, social media and live events.

Released in August 2026, "Giv Dem Wha Dey Wan” is a six-track EP featuring several artistes, including KARYO, Travon John, Jula Fatstash, Big Shenn and Leftside. It follows the duo's 2024 project "Kalikush,” recorded with Amsterdam-based dancehall artiste Kalibwoy.

Tribal Kush has also built a career as producers, working across dancehall and Latin music. Their wider industry connections include production work on Carlos Vives' album "Cumbiana II” and Major Lazer's "Bam Bam.” Myke Towers' "Island Boyz,” which also carries their production involvement, was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2026 Premio Lo Nuestro Awards.
