The music scene has had plenty of talking points this week, with developments involving some of the industry's biggest names drawing attention.
Jay-Z to headline Super Bowl halftime show
Rapper Jay-Z is set to headline the Super Bowl LXI halftime show, taking centre stage at an event he has helped shape over the past seven years.
The announcement was made on October 26 by the NFL, Roc Nation and Apple Music, confirming that he will take the stage on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Jay-Z's appointment is notable because Roc Nation, the entertainment company he founded, has produced the halftime show since partnering with the NFL in 2019.
After helping bring performers including Beyoncé, Shakira, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar and Bad Bunny to the stage, he will now take on the headline role himself.
BTS attract huge demand in Brazil
K-pop group BTS have attracted more than 1.9 million people to the ticketing system for three concerts in São Paulo, Brazil, as part of their ARIRANG world tour.
The shows, scheduled for October 28, 30 and 31, mark the group's return to the Brazilian city after seven years.
All three concerts at Morumbis Stadium sold out, with approximately 252,000 tickets sold across the dates.
The demand highlights the continued strength of their international following after the members completed South Korea's mandatory military service.
