RSSB Tigers have been eliminated from the FIBA Intercontinental Cup after suffering a 95-114 defeat to NBA G League United in the semi-finals on Saturday, September 26, in Beijing, China.

The loss ended the Tigers’ historic campaign at the tournament, where they became the first Rwandan team to compete in the FIBA Intercontinental Cup and reach the semi-finals.

Craig Randall once again led the Tigers’ scoring, finishing with 25 points.

G League United edged the opening quarter 31-30 before taking a 56-53 lead into halftime after winning the second quarter 25-23.

The American side pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Tigers 29-17 in the third quarter before closing out the game with a 29-25 advantage in the final period to book their place in the final.

RSSB Tigers will return to action on Sunday for the third-place game, where they will battle for a podium finish against the loser of the other semi-final between Rytas Vilnius and Boca Juniors.
