Amagaju 0-0 Al Merreikh

Amagaju FC produced a resilient defensive performance to hold Al Merrikh SC to a goalless draw in a BK Pro League encounter played at Kamena Stadium on Friday, September 18 afternoon.

Before kick-off, players, match officials, and supporters observed a minute of silence in memory of the late Jules Kalisa, the former FERWAFA Secretary General, as has been the case across Matchday Three fixtures of the BK Pro League.

The visitors, Al Merreikh SC, dominated much of the game and dictated the tempo from the opening whistle.

The Sudanese side enjoyed a lot of possession in the first half and created several promising opportunities but failed to find a way past Amagaju's determined defence.

At halftime, Al Merreikh had registered six shots compared to Amagaju's one, while also winning four corners. Despite the attacking pressure, the score remained 0-0 thanks to the hosts' disciplined defensive organization.

Amagaju, meanwhile, relied on a compact shape and quick transitions, frustrating a visiting side eager to claim all three points.

Although the home side struggled to maintain possession, they remained difficult to break down throughout the contest.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with Al Merrikh continuing to push forward in search of a breakthrough.

The visitors carved out more chances and spent long periods in Amagaju's half, but they were repeatedly denied by the hosts' defensive resilience.

A standout performer for Amagaju was newly-signed goalkeeper Nicholas Ssebwato, who produced a series of crucial saves to keep Al Merrikh at bay.

Despite Al Merreikh's dominance and numerous goal-scoring opportunities, the Sudanese side lacked the finishing touch needed to convert their superiority into goals.
