APR FC and Rayon Sports headline the weekend as both clubs look to advance their respective African campaigns at Amahoro Stadium.

APR FC host DR Congo’s Les Aigles du Congo at Amahoro Stadium on Friday at 6pm in the second leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary-round tie.

The army side trail 1-0 after losing the first leg and must overturn the deficit at home to keep their continental campaign alive.

Nights of Nostalgia

Those looking for a Friday night out can head to Atelier du Vin from 6pm for Nights of Nostalgia: The Old 2010s Afrobeats Edition.

The event will bring back the songs and dance-floor anthems that defined the decade, accompanied by wine and DJ performances.

Admission costs Rwf15,000, while a consumable table package is available for Rwf200,000.

SportsBiz Africa Golf Championship

Also beginning Friday, the SportsBiz Africa Golf Championship runs through Sunday at Kigali Golf Resort and Villas.

More than 150 golfers are expected to compete over 54 holes for a $25,000 prize purse. The three-day tournament will give spectators an opportunity to watch professional and emerging golfing talent from across the continent.

Our Block – Social Cookout

Saturday’s programme gets underway at Kigali Marriott Hotel, where Our Block will host a social cookout from 1pm.

The event will combine barbecue, drinks, games, body painting, DJ performances and a Makers Market featuring locally made products. Presale admission costs Rwf10,000, while Rwf30,000 includes unlimited barbecue and a drink.

Resonator X Nyege Nyege

For those who prefer the dance floor, Resonator X Nyege Nyege will take over Kigali Mundi Centre on Saturday from 7pm to 2am.

The event promises experimental electronic music, intense rhythms and a high-energy atmosphere. Advance tickets cost Rwf8,000 or Rwf10,000, duo tickets are Rwf16,000, while admission at the gate costs Rwf15,000.

SportsBiz Africa Esports Cup

Competitive gaming takes centre stage at BK Arena on Saturday and Sunday during the SportsBiz Africa Esports Cup.

Players from across Africa will compete in EA Sports FC and eFootball, with some of Rwanda’s leading gamers joining the contest. The EA Sports FC competition carries a $10,000 prize, while $5,000 is at stake in eFootball.

Urban Kids

Sunday begins with Urban Kids at Kigali Mundi Centre from 1pm to 6pm.

Designed for families, the event will feature music, games, dancing and traditional dance lessons, giving children an opportunity to have fun while connecting with Rwandan culture. Admission costs Rwf5,000 for children, while parents enter free.

Memory of Princess Mumbi

Film enthusiasts can attend the closing night of Memory of Princess Mumbi at Ciné Mayaka by IMITANA from 5pm to 8pm.

Set in 2093, the film follows Kuve, who travels to Umata to document the aftermath of a war before Mumbi challenges him to make his film without artificial intelligence. General admission costs Rwf5,000, duo tickets cost Rwf8,000 and group packages are available for Rwf16,000.

Worship Legacy Concert Season 7

Closing the weekend on a spiritual note, Gisubizo Ministry will stage Worship Legacy Concert Season 7 at Camp Kigali on Sunday.

The concert will bring gospel music lovers together for live performances, praise and worship. Tickets range from Rwf5,000 to Rwf50,000.
