Equity Bank Rwanda Plc and SINC Today Limited have partnered to explore opportunities in Rwanda’s growing creative and innovation ecosystem, with a focus on unlocking new avenues for entrepreneurship, employment and economic growth.
The two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on August 31, that provides a framework for strategic collaboration and the development of mutually beneficial opportunities within the creative sector.
According to the parties, "the partnership reflects a shared commitment to fostering innovation, supporting emerging opportunities and creating value through strategic collaboration.”
"At Equity Bank Rwanda, we believe that meaningful partnerships are key to unlocking new opportunities and creating sustainable value,” said Hannington Namara,Managing Director at Equity Bank Rwanda.
"This Memorandum of Understanding provides an important platform for us to explore areas of mutual interest and collaborate in ways that can positively impact our customers, businesses and the wider ecosystem.”

The two organisations affirmed that by bringing together their respective expertise, capabilities and networks, they will explore areas of common interest and potential initiatives that can contribute to sustainable business growth and enhanced customer experiences.
"I have a dream of making young people rich,” Namara said. "We need to take a few steps towards that direction. Today was step number one. Later on, we shall create a self-enrichment,” he added.
According to the parties, the signing of the MoU marks the beginning of a collaborative relationship between the two organisations. Specific initiatives arising from the partnership will be subject to further discussions and appropriate agreements between the parties.

Cedrick Mupenzi, CEO at SINC Today Limited said he&039;s pleased to embark on this journey with Equity Bank Rwanda.
"This collaboration brings together complementary strengths and opens opportunities to explore innovative initiatives, including within the growing creative and entrepreneurial ecosystem,” he noted.
Mupenzi said that their operations could sometimes face upfront payments to venues, artists, and the whole ecosystem. However, with the new development, they hope for improved access to finance, greater bankability and easier financial transactions.
"We look forward to working together to identify opportunities that can create meaningful and lasting value,” he added.
