Police HC have reportedly strengthened their squad with the signing of Rwanda international Jean Pierre Ndayishimiye from rivals APR HC.

Ndayishimiye has agreed to a two-year contract with Police, according to sources familiar with the deal. The agreement is understood to include a monthly salary of Rwf800,000 and a Rwf4 million signing fee.

His arrival comes as Police seek to strengthen their squad after narrowly missing out on the national championship last season. APR overturned a 2-0 deficit against Police to win the best-of-five final series 3-2 and retain the title.

Ndayishimiye’s move adds another chapter to the growing rivalry between the two clubs, both of which have been active in reshaping their squads during the transfer window.

The Rwanda international centre-back has progressed through the country’s youth national teams and represented Rwanda at the 2023 IHF Men’s Youth World Championship before earning promotion to the senior side.

He was also part of Rwanda’s squad at the 2026 African Men’s Handball Championship.
