RSSB Tigers will begin their 2026 FIBA Intercontinental Cup campaign against Lithuania’s Rytas Vilnius on September 22, according to the fixtures released on Wednesday.

The tournament will take place in Beijing, China, from September 22 to 27.

Tigers earned Africa’s place at the prestigious global club competition after winning the 2026 Basketball Africa League (BAL) title in Kigali in May.

The Rwandan champions will face China’s Shanghai Sharks in their second group-stage game on September 23, while Beijing Royal Fighters will also play their first game that day against NBA G League United.

On September 24, NBA G League United will face Boca Juniors in their opening match, while Rytas Vilnius take on Shanghai Sharks.

September 25 has been designated as a rest day before the tournament enters the knockout stage.

The semi-finals and fifth-place match will be played on September 26, with the championship and third-place games scheduled for September 27.

Since the competition adopted a six-team format in 2023, European clubs have enjoyed the most success, with Spain’s Unicaja winning the title twice.

Brazilian side Sesi Franca are the only team from the Americas to have won the competition under the current format, lifting the trophy in 2023.

NBA G League United are the only team in the 2026 field with previous Intercontinental Cup experience, having reached the final twice.

For Rytas Vilnius, RSSB Tigers, Shanghai Sharks, Beijing Royal Fighters and Boca Juniors, the 2026 tournament will mark their Intercontinental Cup debut.
