Police VC have moved closer to securing the services of young setter Nalon Enzo Ganza on a contract that would run until 2029, a source close to the club has told Times Sport.

Ganza, a graduate of Nyanza Technical Secondary School (TSS), recently helped the school win the 2026 Inter-Secondary Schools Championship after defeating Groupe Scolaire Officiel de Butare in straight sets in the final.

The victory earned Nyanza TSS the right to represent Rwanda at the recently concluded Federation of East African Secondary School Sports Association (FEASSA) Games in Tanzania.

However, Ganza did not travel with the school team after receiving his maiden call-up to Rwanda’s senior national volleyball team.

The 19-year-old is currently in camp preparing for the 2026 CAVB African Nations Championship, having impressed head coach Frédéric Guérin alongside fellow young talent Munyinya Mugisha of Kirehe VC.

The two youngsters were also part of Rwanda’s squad at the 2025 CAVB U20 African Nations Volleyball Championship in Egypt and have reportedly attracted interest from Police VC.

While Police VC were also interested in signing Munyinya, his potential move has reportedly been complicated by the fact that he still has one year remaining on his contract with Kirehe VC.

Ganza, therefore, appears set to become the first of the two youngsters to join the law enforcers.

If completed, the move would see Ganza follow in the footsteps of opposite hitter Patrick Ishimwe, who joined Police VC from Saint Aloys Rwamagana and became part of head coach Fred Musoni’s squad in 2025.

At the senior national team camp, Ganza is training alongside experienced setters Sylvestre Ndayisaba of Gisagara VC and Crispin Ntanteteri of Rwanda Energy Group (REG).

The opportunity is expected to provide valuable experience for Ganza and could accelerate the development of one of Rwanda’s most promising young setters as he prepares to take the next step in his career.
