National volleyball team head coach Frédéric Guérin has left out Angélique Tuyizere as he named the final 14-player squad for the 2026 CAVB Women’s African Nations Championship, scheduled to take place in Kenya from August 23 to September 5.

The final squad includes Claire Uwase, Diane Mpuhwezimana, Iris Ndagijimana, Hope Musaniwabo, Aloysie Tuyishime, Donatha Musabyemariya, Anitha Umutoni, Olive Nzamukosha, Léa Uwimbabazi, Françoise Yankurije, Divine Marie Nyirahabimana, Benitha Mukandayisenga, Fillette Uzamukunda, Flavia Dusabe and team captain Valentine Munezero.

The squad is expected to depart for Kenya on Sunday to compete against 15 other nations in the championship, including Egypt, Cameroon, Algeria, Nigeria, Morocco, Uganda, Mali, Burkina Faso and hosts Kenya.

The tournament will also serve as a qualifier for the 2027 FIVB Volleyball World Championship, with the top three teams securing direct qualification.
