Motorsport enthusiasts and adventure lovers are set for an exciting day of action this Saturday, August 22, as the Umuko Enduro Challenge returns for its third round, forming part of the Rwanda Motorcycle Championship, at Umuko Lodge on the shores of Lake Muhazi, organisers announced on August 19.
Organised in partnership with the Rwanda Automobile Club (RAC), the event will bring together enduro and motorcycle riders for a full day of off-road racing, challenging terrain and high-adrenaline competition.
As the third round of the Rwanda Motorcycle Championship, the event represents another important stage in the national motorcycle racing calendar and contributes to the continued development and visibility of motorcycle sport in Rwanda.
The competition is scheduled to run from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with riders taking on a demanding course designed to test their riding skills, endurance and ability to navigate challenging off-road conditions.
Beyond the competition itself, the Umuko Enduro Challenge is becoming an opportunity for the motorsport community, families, friends and adventure enthusiasts to come together and enjoy a day in one of Rwanda's scenic destinations.
Spectator entry is free, allowing members of the public to attend and experience the racing atmosphere at Umuko Lodge.
Racing, music and entertainment
The excitement will continue after the racing with a special after-party at Umuko Lodge.
The event will feature a live performance by renowned Rwandan artist OKKAMA, bringing his music and energy to the shores of Lake Muhazi. Entertainment will also continue with a live DJ set after the racing action.
The combination of national championship racing, outdoor adventure, live music and entertainment is expected to make the Umuko Enduro Challenge a major gathering for motorsport fans and the wider public this Saturday.
