Kigali FC are exploring the possibility of signing experienced duo Jean Bosco Ruboneka and Claude Niyomugabo as they seek to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
Head coach Justin Bisengimana confirmed that both players are currently training with the club as negotiations continue.
"If everything works out, it would be a great opportunity for us because we need experienced players,” Bisengimana said.
Sources close to the negotiations indicate that Ruboneka and Niyomugabo are each seeking a signing-on fee of $80,000, which could prove decisive in determining their next destination.
Rayon Sports and Al Merrikh are also reportedly monitoring the players’ situations closely.
With the transfer window gathering pace, the futures of the two experienced players are expected to be resolved in the coming weeks as talks continue with interested clubs.
Musanze sign duo, Kiyovu land Burundian winger
Musanze FC have completed the signings of midfielder Hertier Rurihoshi and striker Landry François Bakari from Tanzanian clubs Prisons FC and Pamba Jiji FC, respectively.
The pair are expected to add quality and depth to Musanze’s squad as the club seeks to build a competitive team capable of challenging higher up the table this season.
Meanwhile, Kiyovu Sports have agreed terms with Burundian winger Shaban Kagayo, who joins from South Sudanese side Jamus FC on a two-year contract.
The attacker is expected to strengthen Kiyovu’s options in the final third as the Green Baggies look to improve on last season’s performance.
In Rubavu, Marine FC unveiled Malian midfielder Sibiri Togola Diarra, a 22-year-old playmaker who previously played for Armenian second-tier club Ararat-Araks.
Diarra arrived alongside fellow Malian Naman Keita, a 24-year-old striker signed from Tunisian side Béja. Marine will hope the pair can provide the creativity and firepower needed ahead of the new campaign.
Elsewhere, former Rayon Sports winger Aziz Bassane has completed a two-year move to Moroccan club USYM after leaving Cameroonian giants Cotonsport Garoua.

On the women’s front, Rayon Sports have strengthened their squad ahead of the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers in Kigali.
The Blues have added Rwanda internationals Lydia Uzayisenga and Evelyn Ishimwe Mizero, Uganda captain Zaina Namuleme and Kenyan goalkeeper Valentine Khwaka.
Away from player transfers, Rutsiro FC have officially confirmed Omar Rubangura as their new head coach after resolving internal issues surrounding his contractual status.
In another managerial development, Congolese coach Guy Bukasa has parted ways with Sudanese powerhouse Al Hilal after just one month in charge.
Reports indicate that Bukasa rejected an offer to remain at the club as an assistant coach, opting instead to pursue another head-coaching opportunity.
