US-based Rwandan entertainer and media personality Ally Soudy is set to revive his live entertainment show under a new name, with Ally Soudy & Friends becoming Cabaret Kigali.
Scheduled for November 28 at Kigali Universe, the event will mark the return of the show following its last edition in 2023.

The rebranded production is being organised by Salax Entertainment in partnership with WatuWave and will retain the diverse mix of entertainment that characterised previous editions.
According to the organisers, the new concept will bring together music, comedy, dance, storytelling and live performances, with artists and public figures also expected to take part.
In a statement announcing the changes, Ally Soudy said the decision to introduce a new identity was inspired by the positive reception of previous editions.
"After the positive reception of Ally Soudy & Friends Live Show, we felt it was time to create a stronger and bigger identity that reflects our vision for the future,” he said.
Unlike previous editions, the new format will incorporate elements of television talk shows, creating more opportunities for performances and interactions between guests and the audience.
Ally Soudy said the cabaret concept has been adapted to Rwanda’s creative and cultural context rather than directly replicating international formats.
The organisers also see the event as a platform for artists and other creatives to connect with audiences while showcasing different forms of entertainment.
Ally Soudy said the broader plan is to develop Cabaret Kigali beyond a one-off event and establish it as an entertainment platform with a presence in Rwanda and other African markets.
Organisers are yet to announce the performers, ticket prices and detailed programme for the inaugural edition.
