Rwanda's U20 and U18 national handball teams have learned their opponents for the 2026 African Men's U20 and U18 Handball Championships following the official draw held in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, on Tuesday.
The Rwanda U20 team was drawn into Group A alongside hosts Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea and Zimbabwe, while the U18 side will compete in Group C, where they will face Morocco and Libya in a three-team group.
The continental championships will provide another valuable opportunity for Rwanda's emerging talents to test themselves against some of Africa's strongest handball nations as the country continues to invest in youth development.
The tournaments are also expected to serve as an important platform for identifying players capable of progressing to Rwanda's senior national teams in the coming years.
The 33rd African Men's U20 and U18 Handball Championships will be held in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, from September 5 to 12.
