American guard Craig Randall has rejoined APR Basketball Club ahead of the Rwanda Basketball League (RBL) playoffs scheduled to tip commence on August 5.

The 30-year-old was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2026 Basketball Africa League (BAL) after leading RSSB Tigers to their maiden BAL championship on their debut appearance in the competition.

Randall is expected to arrive in Rwanda on July 29.

In February, Randall signed with APR as the club planned to rely on his services during the 2026 BAL campaign. However, he eventually represented RSSB Tigers in the competition after APR withdrew from the tournament.

In April, Randall set an all-time BAL record for the most points scored in a single game, dropping 54 points on 18-of-36 shooting to inspire RSSB Tigers to a 104-92 victory over Tanzania's Dar City in the Kalahari Conference in Pretoria, South Africa.

He also set a BAL record by making 11 three-pointers in the game.

Randall went on to lead RSSB Tigers to their first BAL title after a nail-biting 90-88 win over Petro de Luanda in the final at BK Arena. He finished as the league's leading scorer with an average of 36 points per game and earning the MVP award.

Meanwhile, Teafale Lenard Jr is set to play his final game for APR when they face RSSB Tigers in the RBL regular season on Friday, July 24.

Lenard Jr was also part of the RSSB Tigers squad that won the BAL championship.
