American fitness influencer Ashton Hall arrived in Rwanda in the early hours of Friday, July 10, marking his first visit to the country after weeks of anticipation among local fans who had followed his travels across several African nations.
Hall landed at Kigali International Airport at about 2 a.m. alongside Rwandan content creator Enock Uwizeye, widely known as Ashton Small or Kagarara, and fellow content creator Indian Ashton Hall.
Hundreds of supporters gathered at the airport to welcome the trio, creating large crowds throughout the arrivals area.
The influencer appeared visibly pleased by the reception, greeting fans and thanking them for the support shown upon his arrival.
Hall credited Ashton Small for inspiring his visit to Rwanda after the two met during the African leg of his global tour.
Before their travels together, Hall admitted that he knew little about the country. He said Ashton Small consistently encouraged him to include Rwanda on his itinerary, while growing interest from Rwandan followers on social media further reinforced his decision to visit.

"Every time I asked where we should go next, he would say Rwanda,” Hall said. "Then my followers started sending me messages with the Rwandan flag, so I became excited to come and see it for myself.”

The American influencer also pointed to Ashton Small’s rapid growth on social media. He called on Rwandans to support the content creator’s goal of reaching one million followers, noting that his online audience has expanded in recent months.
According to Hall, Ashton Small had posted hundreds of videos before the pair met and has since built a following of roughly 400,000 people across social media platforms.
"I need all of Rwanda to follow him,” Hall said. "The goal is to get him to one million followers.”
A challenge to ‘dream bigger’
Hall used the occasion to encourage young people to pursue ambitious goals and maintain confidence in their aspirations.
He urged aspiring creators and entrepreneurs to think beyond what appears immediately achievable and to remain grounded in faith while pursuing their ambitions.
For Ashton Small, returning home with Hall marked another milestone in a journey that has transformed him into one of Rwanda’s fastest-rising online personalities.
Speaking after arriving in Kigali, he described the experience of travelling across several African countries with Hall as both educational and memorable.
"The experience has been wonderful,” Ashton Small said. "I am very happy to be back in Rwanda, and I thank Rwandans for the warm welcome.”
He credited his recent success to faith and expressed gratitude for the support he has received from followers both at home and abroad.
After leaving the airport, Hall, Ashton Small and Indian Ashton Hall departed in a convoy for their hotel ahead of a series of activities scheduled during their stay in Rwanda.
Their visit follows a tour that took them through Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria and Benin, where videos featuring the creators attracted millions of views online.
Throughout the trip, Ashton Small frequently promoted Rwanda to Hall and documented their experiences for audiences across multiple social media platforms.
During conversations on the tour, Hall asked for recommendations on places to visit in Rwanda.
Ashton Small suggested several attractions, including mountain gorilla trekking and a visit to Bigogwe, where visitors can learn about traditional cattle-keeping practices and participate in cow-milking.
Hall’s arrival has also drawn attention from other Rwandan online personalities and fitness enthusiasts.
Among them is bodybuilder Wilson Iradukunda, popularly known as Rutambi, who publicly welcomed the influencer ahead of his arrival.
Rutambi gained widespread attention earlier this year after defeating internet personality IShowSpeed in a motorcycle-pulling challenge during the streamer’s visit to Rwanda.
His public message to Hall has prompted speculation among followers that the two personalities could collaborate on content during the influencer’s stay.
