Rwandan forward David Shyaka has signed his first professional contract with Dutch Eredivisie giants PSV Eindhoven, the club announced on Monday.

The 15-year-old has committed his future to the Eindhoven-based side until mid-2029 after progressing through the club's renowned youth academy, which he joined in 2019.

PSV described the agreement as a "big moment" for the young striker, saying the contract marks "an important milestone in his young career."

Shyaka has emerged as one of the academy's brightest attacking prospects. Last season, he finished among PSV's top five academy goalscorers with 21 goals, underlining his impressive finishing ability and consistency in front of goal.

His development has continued this season following his promotion to the club's U17 team, where he has made an immediate impact. One of his standout performances came in a 5-1 victory over Feyenoord U17, in which he scored twice.

Born to Rwandan parents, Shyaka currently represents the Netherlands at U16 level and has been a regular in the country's youth national team setup over the past few years.

His latest achievement marks another significant milestone in a promising career and highlights the growing presence of players of Rwandan heritage in some of Europe's top football academies.
