Gisagara Volleyball Club has confirmed the signing of Ugandan left-attacker Kathbart Malinga on a two-year contract. The 25-year-old comes to the team with good experience, having played for several teams in the region and globally Most notably, he has featured for foreign teams like Belediye Yüntas of Turkey, and Al Jazeera in the United Arab Emirates. Speaking to Times Sport, Malinga described his new club as a good team with good players. Malingas rise in the game can be traced to clubs like Ugandas UPDF VC which he played for in 2012, before he later moved to St Mary’s for a bursary before joining Nkumba VC in 2014. He moved to Sky VC in 2016 and a year later, he secured a deal to join Marek Union Ivkoni VC in Bulgaria. This years season is set to begin on December 10 this year.
