The development was confirmed to Times Sport on Thursday by RAF Secretary General, Olivier Umutangana.
The two new RAF members are; Nyaruguru and Huye Athletic Club – to be unveiled on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
“These two clubs have been formed by the districts, in collaboration with their residents. The target is to have 30 clubs across the country so we can have a bigger pool of talent while selecting athletes to represent the country in international competitions,” Umutangana said.
He added that having many clubs is part of talent detection programme, which will give opportunity to up and coming talents to be supported in realising their dreams.
He also revealed that, besides Nyaruguru and Huye, the federation has also started to encourage Rutsiro and Burera districts to set up athletic clubs.
