PORTUGAL have clinched the inaugural UEFA Nations League title after beating the Netherlands 1-0 Sunday night in the final.

Gonçalo Guedes struck the only goal as Portugal added the UEFA Nations League crown to their UEFA EURO 2016 triumph.

The all-important goal was Guedes's fourth in 17 appearances for Portugal, and his first in competitive matches.

After the UEFA Nations League’s victory, Portugal shift attention to UEFA EURO 2020 qualifiers as they face Serbia on September 7, whilst the Netherlands will be up against the 2014 World Champions, Germany, the day before.

The reigning Europeans champions, Portugal, are unbeaten in their last ten games, and have not lost a home game since September 2014.
