THE 2018/19 Rwanda national football league will start in October instead of September according to the country’s football governing body Ferwafa president Brig Gen (rtd) Jean Damascène Sekamana.
Sekamana said that the league will kick off in early October although the final date has not yet been confirmed and the wish is that the league ends in June next year.
“The league will start in early October but we have not set the dates but we want it to end June next year. We didn’t want to delay like last season. We are planning accordingly and inserting all competitions in our calendar,” Sekamana said.
APR romped to a record 17th league title last season.
Meanwhile, Ferwafa held an Ordinary General Assembly on Saturday at Hôtel des Mille Collines in Kigali.
