All last week, Rwanda was hosting one of the biggest cultural and entertainment events held this year. The Pan-African Dance Festival also known as FESPAD was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, and helps promote Rwandan culture all over the world.

Many people enjoy this popular event. Children too loved watching FESPAD on television sets at home with their parents.

You saw different types of dances, especially traditional Rwandan ones. This shows that Rwandan culture is still very strong. Dance is one aspect of our culture, good morals is another.

Good morals teach you to treat other people with respect, especially our elders. You learn to be obedient to your parents and teachers.

Our culture also teaches you to be well-behaved and decent children. In Rwandan culture, boys and girls wear decent clothes that do not expose their bodies to everyone. This is because our culture teaches us to respect our bodies.

Now that FESPAD has ended, we should learn to be well-behaved children and work towards promoting our culture by having good morals.
