ADOLESCENCE is that time in every child’s life that prepares them for maturity. It is the development stage for every teen where both body and brain develop.
It is during this stage that mannerisms are changed. The teenager faces depression, which causes tension for the parents as well.
Due to depression the behavior of some of these teens is significantly changed, like arguing with their parents and fighting with their peers just because they want to satisfy their egos. They will be unwilling to express their emotions to people more mature, or simply not know how to do so.
In addition to that, it may be complex to distinguish symptoms of depression from some already known teenage conduct. Because of this, it is important to watch out for unusual signs. Depression steps in because of the increase in responsibility and the heavy workload both at school and home.
Subjects at school have to be completed in a very brief period which is quite a challenging job. Depression tires teens both mentally as well as physically. Consequently, it can surface and get aggravated due to fatigue.
In that stage of depression, making the right decision becomes hard because the brain is weary. So if a parent finds that their child is involved in activities that are dubious, ask the kid about their problem and try to solve it with him/ her. Help them with their studies and find time to talk about other things that do not concern school, like their daily routines, their likes and dislikes. Express your love in any way that you can.
To my fellow teens bear in mind that adolescence is the time to be strong and to make the right decisions for your life. Teenagehood is normal and happens to every teenager so do not worry about it.
