A person who uses drugs every day with no regard for their health is known as a drug addict. The introduction to drugs used to treat diseases and disorders has made some teenagers misuse them for their pleasure.

They believe that drugs help them concentrate better. This makes them dependent on drugs but not exactly addicted. Addiction is characterized by the repeated use of substances or behaviours despite clear evidence of morbidity secondary to such use. If a teen has a drug addiction problem they will try to find and use it regardless of whether it is legal or not.

The second the drug is out of reach, an unpleasant physical reaction occurs. Drug addiction takes place through the high-profile nature of the drug used.

As a result, the teenagers’ potential to excel hits a down low. Some sort of guidance or counselling would be helpful for teens struggling with addiction or those who simply want to know more about it.

Drug addiction treatment and rehabilitation centres are places that operate for the benefit of drug abusers. They base their treatment on both social and philosophical factors that are responsible for addiction.

However, the success lies in the fact that they can change the mentality that drugs boost performance and bring happiness. The success an individual attains during rehabilitation doesn’t necessarily last as long as the treatment. Parents should watch out for weak character, and anti-social or irreligious behaviour.

In conclusion, all teenagers should refrain from taking drugs because life is meant to be treasured and not to be taken for granted. Parents should be there for their teens and help them in the fight against drug abuse.
