Family and friends always expect some sort of gifts when it is such a season. For many years we have had to buy the same things for our family members and friends. This year, the fashion scene has given us beautiful accessories that we can buy as gifts for our friends this Christmas and teach them a thing or two about style and fashion. Cufflinks We have always been buying perfumes for our friends. This year cufflinks make top of the list when it comes to accessories for both men and women. Buy a pair of funky cufflinks for your family and friends and they will remember you forever for enlightening them about the latest fashion accessory. Wrap cardigan Instead of buying your girlfriend a box of chocolate that she will eat in one day and forget about it the next day; buy her a wrap cardigan that will save her one chilly evening when you take her out. These cardigans are still hot on the fashion scenes. These stylish wraps can be used for both official and non official occasions, and they can also be found in heavy materials to protect against the cold or lighter materials that serve as scarves. Birdcage hats If you have a lady friend who is getting married in the near future, I would rather you bought her a birdcage hat and she will remember you forever, than giving her cash. Birdcage hats are the in- thing for the brides. The long veils and tiara’s that were once worn are now outdated and have been replaced by the birdcage hats. Belt Both men and women can receive a belt as a gift. This season we have seen soft leather and suede feature prominently in the leather department. Whether it is black or brown, plain or with a wallet on the side, a friend will surely remember this gift for many years to come, because a belt is one thing that very few people remember to buy. Jewellery Chunky jewellery has been around since last season. The only difference with the chunky jewellery this season is that they feature a lot in silver and gold, unlike last season where they were mainly done the African way. This time round we can see a mixture of gold and pearls, silver and expensive stones. Either way, jewellery is a precious gift given to that special person. Handbags I’ve never heard any woman say they have enough handbags; the most recent ones are the Gladstone bags. These bags can be carried to the office, or as a travelling bag. This season did not run short of handbags; they were seen in plenty and in unique colours from collection of Silvia Fendi’s fashion house. Wallets There is nothing that men forget to buy like the wallets. This season we have seen beautiful men’s wallet come in soft leather. Black or brown are the favourite for men. If you are buying a wallet for your lady friend, try other colours that we have seen in the collection - like green, yellow and fuschia or the ones made from the famous Louis Vuitton LV fabric. Shoes If you go by what we have seen this season, then one is spoilt for choice. Whether its patent leather, suede, leather shoes, and moccasins for men- the list is endless. We all know what our friends and family like, so choose a pair that will match with most of your friend’s outfits. Forget about the box of chocolate and candies- buy something stylish and beautiful for that special person this Christmas; whether it’s a friend, family or even spouse, spoil them with fashion and style this Christmas and they will live to remember this day.
