Today many teenage girls tend to go with fashion trends, and are completely afraid of standing out for their comfort. They do not want to be teased about their un-cool clothes.
If the desire for acceptance from other teenagers, boys and society in general is in your heart, then you will be tempted to dress in a provocative manner.
If pleasing God and your parents is in your heart, then you will be able to resist those temptations to dress sensually.
Wearing clothes that draw attention to any area of the body other than the face and flaunting your body may seem cool but they will only cause people to disrespect you as an actual person. If you dress like the girls you see in music videos, people will think differently about you.
“I’m also a teenager, I’ve came to learn that girls who dress skimpily just want attention and in most cases these girls are very insecure. I can tell you that if girls dress like this they get a lot of attention, but mostly bad.
But if you do dress ‘normally’ which is how I dress, you get less attention but it tends to be of the ‘right’ kind,” said, 18-year-old Allen Majoro.
Dressing inappropriately sends wrong signals; it is as if you are telling the world that your body is your greatest asset, instead of your mind, heart and personality.
Girl, you are probably smart, kind and funny, so much more than just a pretty girl, but dressing inappropriately makes it harder for people to see what’s on the inside, and that’s what really counts.
If you want to be a modern cool youth, dress decently! Be different. You should know that being different is what separates someone from the masses.
A person who is different (in a good way) can really shine in life, and others will take notice even if some do ridicule.
People will listen to you and respect your opinions because they see you as a strong person who stands for what is right no matter what.
Fashion is supposed to be fun for girls of all ages. It is a great way to express who you are. Just be sure that you understand that it is your content, not your packaging that matters most.
