A habit is something that we tend to stop noticing over time and just accept as the norm. Today we live in a modern society, but we can still find bad manners here and there. One of the common habits is nose-picking, you see people doing this horrible habit without thinking about it as a bad thing, the practice soon creeps from their homes into the public sphere as they justify it as “just a little pick”, or “people won’t notice”. Well, People do notice and they don’t appreciate it.
Spitting in public is another absolutely disgusting habit. It fills every civilized person with anger seeing horrible and unhygienic scenes of spitting on our otherwise clean pavements.
Urinating at the roadside is rude and a bio hazard. It presents such an ugly picture that if one is accompanied by family members, especially women or children, it becomes embarrassing and sometimes difficult to make the young ones understand why their uncle is ‘wetting’ the wall. We all know that when ‘Nature Calls’, it’s hard to hung-up, and that you don’t alway’s have the luxury of choice, but at least make an effort to hide from everyone’s view and if all fails, diaper-up!
Picking your teeth before people whether at the dining table or otherwise is wrong. If you have something stuck in your teeth, excuse yourself, go to the bathroom and do your business there.
There are also people who talk with a mouth full of food and little parts fly out and hit you. Do these people need to go to school to know that this habit is disgusting? They are no different from those who cough, sneeze or yawn without attempting to cover up! No one wants to see the inside of your mouth or smell your breath! Biting finger nails and spiting the fragments, is also equally awful.
Do you foster a disgusting unhygienic bad habit? Even to the point where you have started excusing yourself for doing it in public! Some people say habits take 21 days to break.
For the next 21 days you have a task to stop picking your nose and to find something else to do with your errant fingers.
