Why people may have one night stands? People who search for a partner for a one-night stand may be searching for love because they have never had the feeling of being loved by someone. They had parents who didn’t believe in cuddling and expressing their love to them nor did their sibling’s show any sort of affections for each other and they have a need to search for a love they never had in their lives before. It is also believed that people who are suffering from a lack of self-confidence, self-esteem, self-control and a good self-image has one night stands in an effort to find and fill these voids. These people may have a deep-seated problem because of having being rejected and unloved in their childhood and they are seeking to find love and contentment through one-night sexual affairs. There are a lot of people in this world who have never been shown any sort of love in their lives and they don’t truly know how to express or feel “real” love. They also find they cannot express their love to others either. Some have never known the luxury of sitting in a parent’s lap and being cuddled and loved by them and this leads them, especially if it’s a child, to wonder what they have missed out on. People who look for one night stands are definitely looking for some sort of affection. They seek sexual connections, and when they obtain sexual relief, they don’t feel closeness anymore and they continue to look for love by having another one-night stand, and then another one. When they have these one-night stands that do not satisfy their need, their thirst for love gets stronger. There are some people who have been shunned and omitted from social groups of friends and they find these one-night stands tend to satisfy their need to become a friend to someone. We also have people who continually need one-night stands because a new sexual encounter is exciting and fulfilling to them. It’s hard for me to figure out people who desire to have one night stands, because to me, it is giving of yourself just for the means of sexual satisfaction.
